Over 2,600 ETH Drawn to Gearbox’s Leveraged Re-Staking Trade in a Single Day
The decentralized finance protocol Gearbox, which is the first to incorporate leverage into the Ethereum liquid re-staking trade, has seen a significant influx of degens.
Over a span of 24 hours, Gearbox attracted more than 2,600 liquid restaking tokens (LRT) weETH, equivalent to $7.9M. The app, focused on leverage, collaborated with EtherFi, the weETH issuer, to initiate leverage on LRTs.
The weETH pool has already reached its limit, however, Gearbox suggested that it might integrate with the liquid restaking protocol Renzo next.
Optimism Distributes $40M Airdrops To Artists and Creators
Optimism, an Ethereum Layer 2 network, unveiled the details of its fourth airdrop, poised to distribute over 10 million OP tokens to 22,998 addresses.
The aim of this distribution is to acknowledge the contributions made by artists and creators to the Superchain and the wider crypto ecosystem. Active users of platforms such as Zora, Base, Ethereum mainnet, and Optimism mainnet are being recognized.

MetaMask has fully integrated with Blockaid to provide default security alerts to its users across multiple networks.
MetaMask users will now automatically receive security alerts when approving potentially harmful transactions. This is a protective measure against the rising occurrence of thefts and scams targeting web3 wallet users. MetaMask estimates that crypto users lost, were hacked, or phished for $1.7B in 2023.
